OET Courses
OET is the Occupational English Test, and has been developed specifically for 12 healthcare professions. Tests reflect real workplace tasks and relevant language skills. It helps healthcare professionals prove they have the right level of English for work or study, while also learning the kind of language they will need every day at work.
IELTS Courses
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) measures the language proficiency of people who want to study or work where English is used as a language of communication. It uses a nine-band scale to clearly identify levels of proficiency, from non-user (band score 1) through to expert (band score 9).
NMC and Other Courses
The NMC is the nursing and midwifery regulator for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
What is the difference between OET and IELTS?
The main difference is the context within which each test is taken. The IELTS test will test your English within the context of a wide variety of topics. The OET will test your ability within the context of your medical profession. Therefore, if you are a nurse or a doctor, you will be tested on things related to your job.
